Corn Fabric
Made from one of the most cultivated and abundant plants, corn fiber was the first fiber to be synthesized from an annually renewable resource. By fermenting corn sugar into lactic acid, which in turn is converted to polylactic acid resin, corn is spun into fiber. With properties similar to petroleum-based synthetic fibers, corn fiber does not contribute to greenhouse gases and is totally biodegradable.
